Astral Authority Acquires Heroes of the Storm Team (Murloc Geniuses)

Posted by Astral Authority on

Astral Authority is thrilled to announce the signing of the #1 Heroes of the Storm team in North America. The team, formerly known as Murloc Geniuses, is comprised of Manny “Fury” Medina, Rori “CauthonLuck” Bryant-Raible, Harrison “psalm” Chang, Jun “Jun” Jang, Ben “cattlepillar” Bunk, and manager by Morgan “Artemishowl” Kirkpatrick. They are the reigning two-time champion of the North American Regional Championships, and are set to compete at Blizzcon November 4-5 in Anaheim, California.
While widely considered the underdog in the last two Regional Championships, the new Astral Authority team showed their amazing teamwork and resiliency in becoming champions at both events and forcing a playoff for the remaining spot at Blizzcon. In both Regionals, the team coasted through play until the Finals. Both Finals went the full five games to be decided. The teams strength, mentality and resolve to not give up shown in the Regionals were the reason Astral Authority is proud to sign the former Murloc Geniuses and have them represent us.
While the group stages for Blizzcon have not been set, Astral Authority looks to be in good position to represent NA well while competing for the prize pool of $1,000,000. Before the event, the Astral Authority team will be running a boot camp with streaming to give fans a preview of what they will see at Blizzcon. Astral CEO Dean Tavarez had this to say about the new team and competing at the highest level in Heroes of the Storm: “I am extremely proud and excited to finally be able to announce the signing of this team. They are a great group of guys and I cannot wait to represent NA internationally.”
The fun won’t stop at Blizzcon as the new Astral Authority team has been invited to compete at the Heroes of the Storm Club World Cup from November 12th to Dec 4th in Beijing, China. The competition will be held in the Beijing Water Cube and will feature the top eight Heroes of the Storm teams in the world. Astral Authority will be representing the NA region and will compete for their share of the $300,000 prize pool. It is a great opportunity for the team to compete internationally and Astral Authority is excited to be a part of it.
Join the Astral Army in supporting the newest team to our organization and be sure to look out for more announcements on their streaming and competitions. Make sure to wear your Astral gear proud and give the team shout outs as they prepare for Blizzcon.
